Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Personal Care
CNA's & Personal Care Caregivers provide services to individuals in their homes and communities who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/ or other inflictions. CNA's are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards. Caregivers at this level will be supervised by an RN.
Responsibilities
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living, include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the client with personal hygiene
- Assisting the client with bathroom use (toileting, bathing, etc.)
- Assisting the client with dressing
- Assisting the client with transferring and mobility
- Assisting client with meal preparation and/or feeding
- Medication Reminders
- Providing companionship
- Managing light housekeeping of the client's immediate areas
- Relaying any changes in the client's condition to the office
Qualifications
- Compassionate and empathetic
- Ambitious and hard-working
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of clients private life
- HIPAA compliant
Requirements
- Current CPR certification
- Current TB/PPD Results
- Valid Drivers License + an additional form of identification
- MVR / Driving Record
- Declaration page of your automobile insurance
- Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant through the State of Maryland
